Problems with eating, such as bulimia and anorexia
There are two main types of eating problems: anorexia and bulimia. They can often go hand in hand.
In anorexia, you tend to worry about your weight. As a result, you eat less and less and try to exercise more. You may only eat healthy foods like fruit and veg. You focus on losing weight, even when this is well beyond what would be right for your height and age.
In bulimia, you also tend to worry about your weight. You might have times where you eat large amounts of food which you would usually avoid (like fatty foods), and eat it all at once in secret. After eating, you will find you will make yourself sick or use laxatives.
